Andrew Goodenough, 43, was indicted on manslaughter and murder charges for the slaying of Michael Kohus. Prosecutors allege Goodenough walked up to Kohus in the Vails Gate ShopRite and stabbed him in the neck in June of last year, the Record said.
Goodenough, however, has been diagnosed with several mental health issues including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. Despite the diagnoses over the years, Judge Craig Brown ruled Goodenough was fit to stand trial, the Record reported.
Goodenough is due back in court on Nov. 28.
